Breaking News: Lidge To Miss 3-6 Weeks

Brad Lidge will be out 3 to 6 weeks as he gets arthroscopic knee surgery. The procedure is tomorrow.

It looks as if Lidge should be back by Opening Day, but this clearly isn’t a good sign. That knee is in bad shape no matter how you slice it. It makes me wonder — after the Freddy Garcia debacle last season — how much the Phillies really investigate player health before making deals.

Hopefully all you Mets fans have something to cheer about come the end of the season, and don’t just have to administer the Heimlich for another choking.

The NY entry this year in the national league is spelled M E T S.

    The same team last year was spelled C H O K E

hey, guys, he’s going to be back for a majority of the year let’s not fret here. once the scar tissue is removed it’s not there to borrow him anymore so he can’t reaggrivate it, word from florida was that he was impressing people with his throwing up to this point

Um, I’m a Mets fan as well, but I don’t wish injuries on anyone, particularly a guy like Lidge, who I like. When we beat the Phillies this year, I’d like both teams as close to 100% as possible. Best of luck to Lidge on his recovery.
