Comcast Sportsnet has the full video of Kyle Kendrick being punk’d by Brett Myers and Co. Long story short: Kendrick is duped into thinking he’d been traded to Japan.

How elaborate is this: Myers got Ruben Amaro Jr., Charlie Manuel and Kendrick’s agent in on the joke. They set up a news conference in the locker room and had a trade contract prepared. Meanwhile, CSN got the whole thing on video.

Unbelievable. I felt really sorry for Kendrick when Manuel broke the news. But you have to give it up to everyone — they somehow held it together through the whole prank.

This team is getting easier and easier to love.

The team “vibe” is looking more and more like the 93 team. Not the same characters, but the same positivity, and comraderie. Let’s hope it can lead to a World Series appearance just like in 93.

I watched that video and split my sides with laughter. It made my day.
And now that I think about it, they seem very much like the ’93 team with Brett Myers in the role of the “Dykstra Dude.”

But let’s keep the Rotweiler (spelling) off the sauce and hope that he brings his closing attitude from last season to every start. 20 games for Myers and Hamels. 15 each for Kendrick and Benson, 12 – 14 for Moyer.

Let’s go Phillies. Feel it in the bones — All the Way!

I really feel bad for the guy… this is something that he will never live down. You dream all your life to get to that level and do as well as he has and if even for a moment the rug is pulled out from under you. The feeling has to be horrible. There are already t-shirts on ebay and it hasn’t even been 24 hours. He will never live this down.
