I don’t take too much stock into balancing out the lefties and righties; in fact, the new rotation may be even more daunting for opposing hitters, who have to endure Hamels’ heat one night, then Moyer’s slop the next.

I thought the big reason we made Myers the Opening Day starter was to balance the righties and lefties. Now that is thrown off once again. We should switch Myers and Hamels, too, if we’re switching Moyer and Kendrick

I think Kendrick thrives on proving himself with consistency, and I’m glad there’s a #3 spot that he will have to win back.

I largely agree – “toying around” with a young player’s psyche seems misguided & shallow. Conversely, Skipper Manuel, for all his X & O’s shortcomings, does seem good with the players, personalities, morale, etc. etc. I might give him a pass on this one. And, I keep remining myself it’s just spring training, just spring traing….
