It’s a fine evening for a ballgame in Philadelphia. Adam Eaton will take the hill for the Phillies against the Houston Astros, now led by GM Ed Wade, former Phillies honcho. The ‘Stros feature some notable former Phillies on their roster — Geoff Geary, Michael Bourn and Tomas Perez are all on the team. The former two were traded by the Phillies for Brad Lidge and Eric Bruntlett.
Though he’ll sport No. 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson, as today is Jackie Robinson Day across the league, Jimmy Rollins is not starting again.
Phillies: Adam Eaton (0-0), 3.95 ERA
Astros: Shawn Chacon (0-0), 3.75 ERA
Gametime: 7:05 p.m.
Weather: 55 degrees, sunny
Lineup: Werth/Ruiz/Utley/Howard/Burrell/Jenkins/Feliz/Bruntlett/Eaton

Your gameday beer: In honor of Jackie Robinson, who made his career as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, I present Brooklyn Brown Ale. Nutty yet creamy, it’s a good beer to enjoy for a couple dozen minutes. Have one with a pizza steak.
Go Phillies!

Rollins isn’t in the lineup again. This is starting to get really unusual.

Anyone else feel like Coste should be playing more with Rollins out? He is clearly more of an offensive threat than Ruiz, and can throw just as well.

I am blacked out on MLB.tv, don’t get CN8, Flyers are on Comcast and the radio station doesn’t come in well here. I could stream it, but you need to buy a plan for streaming game day audio.
What a load. This sucks.

Ouch. How do you not have CN8?

Gnomicide, try streaming the radio broadcast itself. In your case, The Big Talker 1210, and 610 WIP.

Not only are we not getting hits, but we’re not making this guy pitch. We look horrible. Zero offense. Chacon is a guy Utley and Howard should be feasting off of.

Is it just me or do the Phillies brass say that injured guys will be back in a day or so and a month later we’re still trying to figure out when the poor bastard will be back? Just put Rollins on the DL and be done with it. Damn. He wont be back this week either.
Shit happens. I think it wears on the team to show up everyday thinking he’ll be back…..he cant play….and then they have to be disappointed and they play like they did tonight.

I don’t get CN8 because I have RCN. I don’t know. I just don’t get it.
