Unloading Ryan Howard after this season is looking like a good idea actually. you could build a championship-level squad with the score of prospects hed reel in. you still gotta like the big guy, but when hes flirting with the mendoza line thats bad. i would like my team’s resident slugger to make contact with the ball more than he does. i keep thinking this is why philly teams havent won championships over the years. they always get superstars, but not the kind of superstar or the superstar at the right position that wins you a championship. they dont seem to know how to take that superstar and trade him for a score of key players needed to win a championship. this seems to apply through all the main sports here. this is the time now to take advantage of that. if he doesnt want to adjust his demands to stay here than get him out of here while the rest of the league still thinks hes a great player. if he keeps striking out like this hell enter the realm of being overrated. if adam eaton pitches well tomorrow then perhaps it will make me feel better. it will also help if it doesnt rain on saturday when i get to the ballpark.

What else is new with Howard? He’s gunning for 200 K’s this year. I really like Howard, but unless he cuts down on the strikeouts, he won’t be worth the mega million $$$ he will be looking for…

Also, so I bought this Wild Blue beer today, thinking to get something different; and it was a blueberry beer, so I thought, “heck, I like blueberry beers.”

It’s freakin’ grape juice laced with alcohol. This is horrendous. Bad purchase, good lesson.

Well, really, Chollie shouldn’t put Bruntlett in the 2-hole. It’s a ridiculous idea. Why give Bruntlett more AB potentially than Utley and Howard?
