Just for the record – Victorino’s OPS is now lower than Burrell’s AVG.

Actually, I’ll put a positive spin on it – Burrell’s AVG is better than Victorino’s OPS!

Maybe the Man or Machine shirts gave Pat some motivation, and he’ll win the MVP this year and give the Phils some weird variation on Murderer’s Row? Wait, someone just shook me and I woke up. Seriously though, maybe he’s determined in this, his walk year, to land a job somewhere else since the Phils have just about pointed him to the door. I wouldn’t worry about Victorino or Feliz though, for the same reason Uncle Chuck isn’t worried about Myers. They’re using the ‘its early’ talk on them instead of the whole team starting shitty this year, so it could be worse. I’m more worried about sending the bottom of our rotation out against the Mets. Eaton, however, is historically a Met killer, yeah?

Hamels didn’t LOWER his ERA to 1.20, it actually went up from the 1.13 he had entering the game as you noted in the previous entry.
