The Phillies today signed left-handed relief pitcher Steve Kline to a Minor League deal, per the Morning Call.
Kline went 1-2 with a 4.70 ERA in 46 innings this season. He didn’t make the Giants out of camp and found the waiver wire.
It’s a good pickup; depth for the system and a definite possibility as LOOGY. He’ll fight with Vic Darensbourg.

Hahahahahaha….First Rudy Seanz. Now Steve old man Kline. Are you Phillies trying to beat the Mets by having the oldest team ever?
Wow, your organization just baffles me. Just spend money in the off season.

Good insurance move as far as I’m concerned. Low risk.
Penicling in El Grandpa Duque or Pedro “You Kids Get Off My Lawn!!”Martinez sounds like a recipe for a losing team IMO.

He is not worth the money. He is over his prime. As a person he is not personable and does not deserve and great deals.

Oh really, a great opportunity for a guy who can’t even be faithful to his own friends. Not sure what you are thinking but he is done.
