Right- scoring 10 runs wasn’t enough to win yesterday! Anyway, I’m hoping Helms is the one that goes. We don’t need him at all.

Rudy Seanez was a very nice addition..He averages a strikeout per inning, but the only really concern is his walk ratio. I do think he’ll work out alot better than Madson. I do however agree that we definitly should not end it there with more relief help. It’s a shame to let an offense as superior to ours go to waste over a bullpen spill.

This is some decent patchwork. It is still not enough, Im so sick of them acting like they cant afford to go out and get two more decent to good starting pitchers and another good bullpen arm. Unfortunately, as great as the core players on this team are, they will need at least that (excluding Benson because who knows what hell do) to get to the world series. At this point, even a Claudio Vargas signing will be better than sending Adam Eaton out there (shudder).

As I said in spring training and I maintain it after yesterday. Gordon’s arm is dead. Time to either put him into a very much reduced roll or cut our losses on him.

I still have faith in this team, and I like that the bullpen is at least seeing a new member quick and painlessly. If we had to wait three months, I would have been a bit angry. It seems Gillick knows this core is in their prime now and as such, he needs to make deals fast and aggressively.

Supposedly Seanez is best in lower-leverage situations, so the sixth inning would be the perfect place for him. Maybe the seventh inning, if they think about pushing Gordon down to the sixth, which I want.

Who goes? I’d think they might offer Lahey back to the Twins, but they could very well ship Helms to Lehigh Valley and be close to a trade (what trade that is I have no clue). Maybe we dangle Helms to Atlanta for Royce Ring?

Then again, the Braves aren’t that stupid.
