The Boston Herald has reported the Phillies are interested in Red Sox pitcher Kyle Snyder. He was designated for assignment a few days ago.
Last season Snyder threw 54.1 innings for the Sox and went 2-3 with a 3.81 ERA. He walked 32 and struck out 41. For his career, he has a 5.57 ERA in 230.2 innings. He’s a sinkerball pitcher, which is always good for Citizens Bank Park, but his ratio isn’t hot. Another walk-heavy, five-inning battler on the ballot.

The offense needs to produce, theyve spent enough moeny on hitters. most teams dont have that type of hitting talent, its ggetting the hitting talent to produce. kyle snyder? well ok fine, continue to stockpile waiver-wire guys and you might get some production out of them. If his sinker sinks then you can probably put him in a game at some point. I think hes supposed to be a starter but hes not good enough so hed be the “other” long reliever maybe? id still prefer another starter that can just take somebodys spot in the rotation but thats wishiful thinking this early in the season.

We need a lefty in the bullpen. Snyder has only had one good season in the majors and I doubt he would be much better than Condrey. I would pass.

I would disagree and take anyone over Clay Condrey.
