I love this team. I want to be optimistic. But we’re not going anywhere — even if we make the playoffs, we’re not winning a series — without another solid starter. I love Moyer, but he’s a No.4-5 guy. Our No. 4 (Kendrick) is a AAAA pitcher. And our No. 5 (you-know-who) should be tossing salads at the Olive Garden, not meatballs to big-league hitters.

well there is no doubt they’re gonna need to pick someone up to push eaton out of the picture. maybe benson is that guy, but i’m hopin they pick up maybe AJ Burnett if he’s healthy at the deadline.

moyer is solid. just like on most things, and just like typical philly fans, you are all overreacting. guarantee moyer has 13 wins and a 4.5 ERA come september 30th. calm down. you know what you’re going to get with jamie. a solid bottom of the rotation hitter. nothing more , nothing less.
