what is happening on the joe valentine home front with the phillies will he be expected to be brought up to the majors i think if they don t screw with him like the reds in those yrs screwed just about everybody he will be a big big asset to the bulpen if given the prper chance

pitching wins. get me pitching. the offense was just as bad tonight except they had a real pticher in there with hamels. makes all the difference. i dont see shane as a linchpin to the team. i see trade bait.

all things being equal, this is the type of game they had to gut out and win tonight.

i agree that the lineup really needs to pick it up, but all of this talk of victorino kind of bothers me. team chemistry is very important(one of the major influences on last years run) and i think trading away a clubhouse favorite like shane will destroy this teams chemistry, and i believe that will be the beginning of the end for this team.

great outing by hamels, 11k’s. is bergmann really that good? no. this lineup needs to be shaken up to shock them into reality. trading shane would shake things up nicely i think. start hitting there with RISP guys.

Beautiful job by hamels getting out of a tough situation. I do believe we have the best pitcher in baseball(not quite yet, but give him a year or two, he is only 24)
