What would they get for Myers form the yankees? i dont know if the yankees have any good prospects. do they have a near-mlb ready starting pitcher? would they give up phil hughes or ian kennedy?

id ask for an mlb-ready starting pitching prospect for brett myers. maybe you get another hitting prospect to throw in AAA for next season if their lucky. its worth it to make some room for whoever that starter they go for at the trade deadline will be. is hughes doing better in AAA? hes not the answer right now but itd help to get a good prospect and make room for a REAL number tow guy.

it does sound too good doesnt it? we can unload brett myers and make room for our savior, whoever that may be.

Anyway, more of an update about Myers going to the Yankees. My friends brother lives in NYC, and he listens to their version of 610 WIP, and they’ve been saying for over a week now that the Yankees are close to locking up Myers. Now, we all know that it’s probably a rumor, but we could probably snag some pretty decent prospects plus a salary dump.

Also, I agree with bringing Carrasco up. That kid seems to have good stuff. My friend just told me that his brother told him that the Yankees want Myers really bad as a set-up man. I don’t know how true that is, but maybe we can dump him for a couple of prospects.

Don’t bring Durbin into the rotation. He’s too awesome in the pen. Myers needs to get traded to someone that needs a closer. The Brewers need a closer. How about this trade if they fall out of contention. Howard and Myers for Fielder and Sheets, or better yet Howard, Myers, Werth, and Cardenas for Sheets, Braun, and Fielder? I know that would never happen, but how awesome would that be?

Throw Myers in the pen and start Dubrin. Or bring up Happ or Carasco! Something different has to happen, because we are not winning any games in this spot! I don’t care if he pitched the pitch that won us the NL East last year, he isn’t helping anyone this season except the rare occasion where he pitches good.

Myers is injured..in his dome. Thats his problem. He melts down and starts hyperventilating and leaves balls over the plate. The broadcasters try to brighten the mood up by being like, oh well th ephillies are used to coming back theyre a late inning team and so forth…

guess what?

that shit isnt going to work in the playoffs. if they do this shit in the playoffs and leave men on base like that they WILL be swept by WHOEVER they play. this is professional fucking baseball and you leave the bases loaded 4 fucking times!!!!!! they need a new hitting instructor or something. if they cant fix that then you need to get someone in there who can hit in a tight situation.

i looked at ryan howards stats, and his HR and RBI are fine. his problem is he whiffs too much which fucks up his average.

but im tired of seeing them trot brett myers out there. that guy sucks as a starter. he has no mental discipline. they really REALLY need a number two starter. how theyre going to get him with their farm system without leaving it bare? i dont know.

Leaving 15 men on base is despicable. 4 times with bases loaded. There is no excuse for how bad they played the past 2 days along with the 2 games in Florida. Chase better get his shit together because that was 2 games in a row where he coulda helped us win and didn’t. As for Rollins and Howard…glad to see them hitting the ball. And then there’s Myers. WTF is that guys problem?!?!?!?!?! I don’t even know.

You can’t blame this loss only on Tom Gordon. Utley screwed up the first throw in that inning, the Phillies left 15 men on base, Coste swung at a pitch that would have been ball four and a run, avoiding extra innings and giving the Phillies the win, and Myers gave up 6 runs in 6 innings but is still our “ace”.

The Phillies are still in first place by 3 games, there is plenty of time left in the season for the Phillies to make up this game Hopefully they will play well at home in Interleague play.
