I think people do agree with you, and I do on many occasions because I think you guys tend to know your stuff. The problem is that you both have your points and you never add anything new to a discussion, you continue to say the same things over and over and over again. People come onto the board and they have to sift through Geoff saying we need better starting pitching 10,061 times before we can talk about something else. We get the point, and you guys are probably right but please stop shoving down everyone’s throats.

Utley in a slump is worse for the Phils than Howard in a slump.

We all know that all RH hits pretty much are bombs. I think most people will tell you that HR are rally killers. It puts no pressure on a team to give up a HR here or there. So when Howard is sucking all we’re missing is a HR here or there which doesnt put the other team in a tight spot anyway.

Utley on the other hand hits an assload of singles and doubles. Plus he can steal and he can score from 1st or 2nd relatively easily. Utley puts pressure on pitchers and defenses because of that. So when he’ sucking up, we lose rallys, which produce alot more runs and wins than HR’s.

Does that make any fucking sense?

Fraud: team that is hyped as more than it actually is. that fits the phillies to a tee.

the boston red sox are a great team. the phillies didnt even show up yesterday at all in any way and today they lose it right frmo the get go and have to try and catch up again. they are INCONSISTENT. they lack another outstanding starting pitcher. they lack situational hitters. they live or die by the long ball. a totall all or nothing, feast or famine team.

they good pitching makes them settle for consistency and base hits, they cant do it.

the phillies are a fraud RIGHT NOW.

they can change that but playing better and acquiring the right piece and have him play better too.

they were clearly exposed in this series. now its time to patch up and fix the problems here.
