Eaton’s put in some quality starts the past few times and looks more confident than last year, I think they should ride it out as long as they can, it is a definite bonus. Myers has been solid his past two outings and Kendrick is calming down a little. This rotation dare I say, is starting to look darn good…

You might be able to pawn Eaton off to the Pirates. Hell, they took Matt Morris and his contract last year. If he keeps pitching like this they should ride it out and keep him.

Great win. I was coming home from a baseball game last night. I turned the radio on right as Lidge was making that final pitch. I didnt know what the hell was going on. 1210 was vibing in and out. Franske and Larry were going apeshit. I thought it was a post game highlight, but it was the real play. Un-freaking-believable.

If you are a shrewd GM you realize that there is next to no upgrade in trading Eaton for a 3 or 4. It’s pointless, especially if you are giving up prospects as well, when the farm doesn’t exactly have them in spades. You keep whatever prospects you were gonna give up with Eaton, and you keep Eaton at this rate.

Great game to watch. they got a luck break and they jumped all over it and did not waste it. great teams do that, they dont waste opportunities like that. i liked that aspect of it. tim hudson is a great pitcher, so i wasnt surprised that he shut them down for his time in the game mostly. victorino has redeemed himself for some of his previous mistakes. manuel seems to have straightened him out after they had a little talk a week or so ago. manuel may not make the best strategic moves but hes a better manager than people giv ehim credit for. he knows how to handle his players usually.

i expect kendrick to do better than he did last time out and go 7 while keeping them in it.

even though many of us have been demanding a number two starter, i think theyre going to trade a few prospects plus maybe eaton for a solid 3rd or 4th type of guy. that would certaintly help though id want more. thats just what i think theyll do. eaton has rebounded nicely and has restored his trade value. it also allows them to get out of his contract by moving him with his restored value. it would upgrade their rotation with someone who is always steady but not elite, assuming they get the right guy. everything eaton gives us is a bonus this season after his nightmare last year. if youre a really shrewd GM you wait a few more starts until eaton has reestablished himself and then you swoop in there and package him plus a prospect or two (not your best prospects though) and pull the trigger for a 3rd or 4th guy. would i like a second guy? sure i demand it, but i doubt theyll do that now, so i think theyll go this route instead.
