How can you feel fine about a .5 run lead you saw a better team (on paper) lose a huge lead to the mediocre baseball the phillies played last year. If you read carefully, Halladay expressed disappointment in the team's performance so far this year but didn't say he wouldn't honor his contract that expires after 2010 ($15.75 million for the last year). He simply states he tired of unfulfilled expectations ("groundhog day") and sees a need for the GM to add the missing pieces to achieve the ultimate goal of a world series championship.
