Chase’s words may have been inappropriate but let’s get real. He articulated what was on every deprived Philly fan’s mind given our Championship starved mentality and utter lack of respect shown to the Phillies by every national sports media company. Everyone picked the Brewers to win, then they picked the Dodgers, then the Rays. The Phils were dissed at every turn. So while the fact is that his phrase was heard by some people who became offended, the VAST majority of people hearing it responded with a resounding YEEEAAAH!!! And if a celebration 28 years in the making doesn’t warrant a jubilant F-bomb here and there, I don’t know what does! The Phillies deserve this Trophy, the City deserves this Championship, and the fans deserve to celebrate being World F*cking Champions!!! And EVERY player in this city has better than average ‘character’ ESPECIALLY Chase Utley.

We don’t have lives because we think this whole thing is funny and made shirts? It’s the Mets fans coming over and getting all riled up about the whole thing who don’t have lives. Why are you commenting on our shirts? You don’t like them go back to your own blogs and post about it. Facts are: we are in first place and Chase Utley got the most votes in the NL. He is one of the best guys in baseball, that is the only reason he was booed and it was ridiculous.
