Isn’t it amazing that Philly fans are clearly aware of the need for better starting pitchers but the GM, and coaches are sitting around with their thumbs up their asses? the pitching staff should apologize to our hitters for dragging them down. Yeah, I know that they are not hitting as well as they can but you should not loose a game after even scoring only four runs. GET BETTER STARTING PITCHING NOW. My dad loves the Phillies and is not getting any younger.

happ will probably have a starting spot in the rotation for the rest of the year unless he totally blows it, which is fine by me. myers has done well in his minor league starts and will probably come through with a better second half (although still nothing great). hamels kendrick and moyer have all pitched very well. if the phillies can trade myers or eaton and get a better starter in the mix, great, but i don’t want to see them move any serious prospects to do so, because there aren’t any starters available based on the trade talks that are worth a carrasco, marson, or even golson. but no matter what, there’s no reason adam eaton should ever start another game wearing a phillies uniform.

Mets are as flawed as anyone. Their bullpen has been lights out over 8 games, but historically has been trash. It’ll even out, as will the Mets currently overachieving hitters and bench-journeymen.

The Phils are not this bad offensively, though the pitching is suspect. They’ll pick it up.

The Fish have been overachieving all season, which suggests that they might be the favorite–i.e., if you overachieve long enough, you instead might simply be playing to potential. I’m more afraid of the Fish playing consistently decent than the Mets staying hot or the Phillies crashing and burning. My guess is that it’ll be Florida 1 and the Mets/Phils in a dogfight for 2/3 the rest of the way out.

Carrasco isnt ready this year. So Moyer can stay. If carrasco was ready and confident and dealing down in AA id ship moyer out of here so fast top make room for him itd make your head spin. happ already would be repalcing eaton if i was running shit. and i wouldnt found a way to get harden in here if i was gillick. im so pissed about that. watch, harden will be healthy now from here on out and wel regret that shit. so pissed.
