I am not happy. The Phils had a chance to win this year and possibly next if they traded the future for now. some of the names they could of had ..top tier.. Man Ram, Holliday, CBat, AJBurnett, 2nd tier… fuentes, mahay, etc..

its obvious that PG thinks that having corrasco as a #2 pitcher and/or marson as a catcher is more important then the world series…. i can understand where they are coming from.. to make money all they need to do is stay competitive every year.

btw Geoff, yes we swept the Nats, and in my opinion it’s a HUGE deal. The Nats usually play the Phillies like they’re the 01 Mariners or some shit. It’s unreal how good they play against us for being as shitty as they are.

In that situation bringing in Durbin was the right move, Chad only made 5 pitches and just came in to make one out. Plus Durbin is now more of a set-up guy who can pitch multiple innings now that Happ was brought up to be the long man. Seanez had been a good middle reliever for the Phillies this year, but he has started to tired and I don’t know how much longer he will be in the ML. I think he will retire after this season.

I don’t mind Charlie bringing in Durbin. Sends a message to Seanez that he was put in to get guys out and he wasn’t doing it and that doesn’t fly. Besides it’ll takes Durbin like 4 pitches, so it isn’t a huge drain.

I love it! Listen to what the bloggers are saying on Metsblog…I had to stop in to see if they were talking about the Phils at all..

So let me get this straight, no trade for the Mets. So our season hinges on:

1) Maineâ€™s shoulder;

2) Pedroâ€™s groin;

3) Churchâ€™s head;

4) Fernando Tatisâ€™s ability not to realize heâ€™s Fernando Tatis;

5) The bullpen not continuing to implode every other day.

Great! Iâ€™m looking forward to the rest of the season and hoping they play well, so I donâ€™t have to state how unbelievably stupid Omar is.

We have a pretty favorable schedule, although we have a few tough series stretched out. The Mets have an easy August, but their September ends ugly with 4 against the Cubs and 3 against Florida, but all are at home. Florida has a tough August and a so-so September.
