Ill bet they let both of them walk. they can recover from that in like 2 years with those draft picks, their farm system, and their core. the phillies dont have such a luxury so getting sabathia is foolish.

Brewers will have a great 1-2-3 punch if that happens, probably the best in baseball. Their farm is so deep that they don’t care probably. They’ll also have 5 of the top 35 draft picks next year when Sheets and Sabathia walk.

phew. shane for arroyo? ill give like a shitty prospect for arroyo. shane has more value than that. if shane is in a trade to the reds itd be more like shane, donald, other prospect for harang. nobody wants arroyo after he gave up 10 runs in one inning

There is a rumor floating about that the Reds and Phillies are working on a Bronson Arroyo for Shane Victorino swap. However, the Cincinnati Enquirer ran the report by a Reds official who said there’s nothing to it. Many thanks to Reds beat writer John Fay, who keeps a blog here.

I really hope that rumor is a bad joke. Now Victorino and two prospects for Harang, Freel, and Bray (a good LH reliever) I would do. I doubt the Reds would do that deal though.

Hey Tim, can you make an entry about why Pat Burrell should be an allstar and how he’s having the best year out of any outfielder in the NL leading with most homers, slugging, OPS, and fielding perecentage. He’s 2nd in assists and OBP. If Clint Hurdle doesn’t pick Pat the Bat then I’ll be really pissed off.
