Update: Happ Being Re-Called To Philly

11:14 p.m.: Nick Fierro of the Express-Times of Easton reports Happ will be called up to the Phillies.

8:11 p.m.: It’s becoming increasingly probable that Happ is coming up to the Phils, but no word on who is coming down to AAA Lehigh Valley.

More on the Phillies’ win later, but first, some news coming out of Allentown:
Rumors swirling. Happ was removed in the 3rd inning, and according to 1 report, was being congratulated in the dugout, or at least it didn’t appear he was injured. If he was being recalled by the big league team, it seems odd to remove him mid inning. The more likely scenario is a trade in the works. Stay tuned.
Phuture Phillies with the report. No news yet on Happ or if he’s being traded (or called up). We’ll let you know as soon as something happens.

I read that the Phils might be planning on cutting Adam Eaton or Rudy Seanez to make room for Happ…They said Eaton was called into Manuels office today,but no one knows what was said.

Myers moved to Eatons spot and Eaton sent down/DFA
Seanez put on DL/traded/sent down and Phils get Sherril or Grabow in trade.
Eaton becomes color commentator for Camcast.

I think Seanez is DFA and we already know Eaton has been sent to minors. I also think Myers moves to the ‘pen as setup man and Happ goes to the rotation. Blanton = concerns also…

i really hope they move myers to the pen. he gives you nex tto nothing as a starter. ill take happ over him any day. myerws needs to go into that bullpen and give them a lift as the setup man.

I will be pretty angry if Happ is moved to a middle relief role. He’s never done that in his whole life.

my bet is that they’ll probably let Myers start tomorrow against that Nationals to see if there’s any additional improvement. if he doesn’t deliver anything short of a lights out performance tomorrow, give the job to Happ for the rest of the season please
