I was at Sunday’s game with my twelve year old daughter and her friend for the Shane Victorino bobblehead – the game was awesome!

What’s better than a Phillies Win….meeting some players and getting autographs.

After the game – the girls wanted to wait where the players drive out of the parking garage to see if they could get autographs. I agreed to take them but told them not to get their hopes up. I told them the players are tired after playing all day in the sun.

To our surprise….they received autographs from Jimmy Rollins, Pedro Feliz and So Taguchi. These players chatted with them about the game, the upcoming Phillies Phestival, their excitement that they were getting their autographs and more.

In fact, So Taguchi pulled off to the side of the road and stayed until every person received an autograph.

Thanks guys for bringing smiles to all of those kids faces on that hot afternoon. And…

The company I work for, would probably fire me for taking time off though.

I know it was not Eaton’s Dad. Immediately I knew because no father would talk that way about his son.
I was more ticked just that someone would take it upon themself to say I had told them about the site.
So far I have met one player’s father and that was Jenkins.
I think I met Jimmy Rollin’s father but did not realize at the time it was his Dad.

Do any of you have kids who played little league, high school or college ball?

I could spit out some DNA for you!
I could state some childhood stories about little league.

I could tell you the day Chad found out he was drafted in the 3rd round by KC.
I could tell you his stories about trying to pitch after surgery, breaking scar tissue and how it hurt like hell.

But it makes no sense to try to prove it.

Phil – I am Chad’s Dad, however I was not impressed by whomever decide to say I told them about the site. Then went on to trash Eaton.
I have only emailed one person and that was you asking about a signed ball.
Being a Dad of a player, I have seen the crap that can be said about a player.
I personally hope Adam gets his act together.

Yes Phil I am Chad’s Dad.
As to pitchers picked up for the all star game. I read where they make the decision many times as to what pitchers are available to pitch.

Best Yet! I am not much of a baseball fan. I do not watch what other players are coming up or worry anymore about whom could take whoms place.

I have had to become a fan, but usually only follow the team Chad is on. It changes quite frequently, but with luck maybe he can have a few years with Philly.
I apologize for letting the Eaton blog get to me, but I am a father and if you have kids you get it. If not then you don’t.

Mr. Durbin: what does Chad think of Carlos Marmol getting picked for the all star game?

Personally, if they picked marmol they shouldve picked Chad. Chad is having a better season than Marmol is.

Thats why I like Kendrick, groundball pitchers are so much more effective at this ballpark. Tim Hudson probably loves pitching here, though I cannot recall his CBP numbers off hand.

I have a comment to the A- – who stated he was Adam Eaton’s Dad and that I told him about the site. For one thing you are most likely an A – - of the worst kind for writing the article and including another father in the story.
To Adam Eaton’s Dad sorry there are idiots writing. That is why I do not write very often on the blogs or forums. There are people out there that probably have been dunked in the bathroom a couple of times.

To all Phillies Fan’s who understand the up’s and down’s of baseball.
I think you probably agree using another father’s name in the story which was fictitious to start is a low blow.
