Video: Guy Cons Fans Into Thinking He’s A Phillie

In the sad but hilarious department, the Sporting News picked up on this Phillies fan who conned some people at FanFest this week.

The name on his jersey says “C Yeager,” and most of us know there’s no such player with that name in any level of the Phillies system. But a lot of fans, evidently, didn’t know that, and attacked Yeager to sign their memorabilia. Of course, he obliged, and fans newly paid items depreciated quicker than Rafael Palmeiro’s rookie card.

It’s a little sad that this guy would be so cruel to fans, but then again, how can these people call themselves fans?

I heard he is going to take Adam Eaton’s spot in the rotation.

I agree with Philsphan, if he fooled the fans into thinking he was a Phillie, than by that same logic he’s no different than Adam Eaton. He fooled us too.

Eaton tried to fool us into thinking he was a pitcher. Thankfully, we haven’t fallen for that blatant lie. Unfortunatley Pat Gillick fell hook line and sinker.
