Pedro Feliz hit two home runs in four at bats last night for the AA Reading Phillies in a rehab assignment. He’s scheduled to be back with the Phils Wednesday.

And not a moment too soon. The Phils need consistent production and defense from third base. In the three weeks without Feliz, the Phils have battled with Eric Bruntlett and Greg Dobbs sharing the load. We’ve really seen firsthand how important a regular such as Feliz becomes with his injury. Especially when it’s a necessary right-handed bat.

Im actually excited to see him back. Hes so much more valuable than we had anticipated. feliz when hes healthy isnt a bad hitter, though he still K’s way too much. but for a 7 hitter hes serviceable. awesome defense, compeltely missed in the past 3 weeks.

We need him back so bad right now. That D at third has been real bad since he’s been out and the production offensively has been non existent.

…….at the position and with the team as a whole.

Hopefully he helps! Cause this offense is a disgrace right now!

I would not expect Feliz to hit much higher for average then what he did before he went on the disabled list but his occasional home run will help. His terrific defense will be a big confidence boost to the team.

Feliz is a professional athlete which is more than you can say about the bums who took his place.

Well, Dobbs and Bruntlett are professionals too, but Dobbs is a professional pinch hitter and Bruntlett is a professional defense specialist.

Ill be glad to see him out there ..maybe we should boo him though so he knows what team he plays for…
