Hilarious stuff, guys. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Hey, I’m wrong at times too (not many, though).

Jury is still out on Blanton, but I’m impressed with him right now (still, it’s been Pittsburgh and Washington he’s dominated).

Anywho, I stand by my point that Brunt is good to start because his fielding is much better than Dobbs, while Dobbs is much better in a pinch. (The old Brunt/Ruiz/Jenkins lineup should NEVER happen, however.)

When all is said and done, the fact that everyone has their own opinions to bring here is the best part of the site. That it’s an open forum. So keep it that way, and if anyone is “slurping” me … well, sucks to be them. Ha.

The Phils were very fortunate to emerge from this homestand 2 games and 2 1/2 games ahead of the Mets and the Marlins respectively. They were offensively tentative on their home turf going 3-3 for the stand.
Offensively, they better gear up if the expect a stretch drive reminiscent of last season. No complaints about starting pitching or the ‘pen.

I’m more worried about the Pads than the Dodgers. We should beat up on all of their pitchers aside from Kurshow. If Hamels can keep us in the game maybe we can get to their bullpen. I don’t know what Padres pitchers we’ll be facing, but I am very worried about facing Peavy, Maddux(he’s a beast at home), and Young.

theres no need to go over all that again, just read the blog and look at his career statistics youself, lazy.

go seek out information instead of relying on recieving it from others.

the bottom line is they luckily beat the pirates today and ian snell was horrible last night. thye struggled to beat a bad team that is rebuilding again. they cant defeat even average starting pitching. the reality is that a bunch of people had a career year last year. theyre way overrated and they need a large influx of new talent in the offseason in all areas of the game. pitching, defense, hitting.

Yeah, it aint that bad. We’re still sitting pretty, even though the big boys are slumpin. It’s hard to hit the Doyers at home, but by the time we get to San Diego things should be looking real good.

Mickey, you’re right. We’re up 2 on the Mets and 2 1/2 on the Fish. Great outlook, and some big series coming up – first on the road, then back home. We have a tough month of August left that we need to stay focused on. And, in the spirit of today, I will pour a cold one in fact. A little “Anger Management” from Angry Hank’s Brewery is in order.
