He didn’t say anything that he and every other athlete hasn’t said before.. When asked what it was liked to play in Philadelphia.. Jon Sally jumped in said “rough, he never played here but has family here” something like that.. and Jimmy said something along the lines of, “I know I’m going to catch a lot of flak for this, but they’re like frontrunners”… but he was apparently comparing that to St. Louis where they are all-happy-all-the time.

When you hear it in context its not that bad, and like I said before, that fact that people want to jump off a bridge everytime they lose makes him correct in his statement.. here is what i said about it earlier.

“Honestly.. the responses on here 90% of the time means that Jimmy Rollins is exactly right.. They win and nobody cares, they lose and people scream about how they need to blow the team up and trade everyone.. “

I definitely feel like a frontrunner with all the championships J-Roll has won us. This guy is worse than Dave Montgomery. I guess he thinks they won the world series last year when in reality they won a heaping pile of fuck off. I seem to remember a bunch of happy assholes greeting these ungrateful pricks at the airport after they got their doors blown off by the Crotchies. This guy is playing with fire. We can make it rain down on him worse than Chazz Michael Micheals at Grublets on Ice.

i pay hard-earned money to go down there 10 times a year. i spend a lot of money down there. that statement from jimmy is totally unacceptable. he obviously wants out of town. instead of keeping it private and professional and asking for a trade in the offseason, he does it the hard way. well, lets oblige him.

they wanna fuckin bitch about not having fan support when they phillies have sold out almost every fuckin game this whole year!!!!!??!!!. the place is packed for every fuckin game and they stink the joint up in half of em. i paid to see them go 12 innings and get shut out by the pirates on friday. they had twelve fucking innings to manufacture one measly run and couldn’t pull it off against the second worst team in baseball. gimme a fuckin break. and they can’t score for hamels ever. he deserves to be on a real team. if he were on the red sox this year and pitched the same way as he has his record would be 18-3

rollins and howard need to be booed off the field when they return home. i don’t care how good they play for the rest of this trip. they purposely mouthed off while on the west coast thinking it will blow over before they get home. don’t let them get away with it!!!!! they need to be pelted with eggs. especially rollins, who has been nothing short of an arrogant self-centered jerk this entire year. not to mention he’s been terrible and is the main reason they don’t score runs.

what they said was absolutely unacceptable and cowardly. J-Roll is becoming the baseball equivalent of T.O.

I personally don’t care if people do or don’t like certain aspects of this organization.. i’ve said LOTS of times that they should spend more money and yada yada yada…

BUT to short-change them for the improvements they’ve made makes you seem petty..

Im not asking for people to call this the greatest organization ever.. but we’ve got a very competitive baseball team for like the 5th year in a row.. now those guys that couldn’t get to the playoffs are gone (Lieberthal, Abreu, Bell, Wolf, Millwood, etc).. now its time for the young guys to step-up and try to make it happen.. so far it looks like they’re doing a pretty good job

I love how being a fan of your team, and realizing that the entire organization has played a part in their success the past few seasons means that you somehow have a hard-on for Gillick, or whoever certain fans feel like bashing that day.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought that part of the “agreement” the Phils had with Eaton and his agent were that they would call him up September 1 irregardless of how he performed. I say call him up pursuant to the agreement, and then shelve him in the locker room folding towels and scrubbing shitters. That’s right up his alley.

I just got back from eating out and well…I knew the kind of response I would get regarding Eaton. Hey, that’s ok. I just brushed it off my shoulder. (chuckle) I just think Eaton had the same responsibility and assignment issued by management as Myers when going to the Minors; to regain his confidence and command of his pitches. If Phillies manage-
ment is satisfied with Eaton’s progress and include him in their Sept. call
ups, it would be hilarious to read the reactions of the naysayers (to be kind).
