Hey lets be real here, very few people have a shot at pro ball but you can learn little things from this Philly team. Go to work tomorrow and go to sleep at your desk and when your boss questions you (after ignoring him because of course your always right), you just say you take pride in your job like your a memeber of the Philadelphia Phillies… And if he doesn’t like it then then you just say he’s being unreasonable it’s not September…

Great, the Phillies can’t hit or pitch, and the Mets have 8/10.

Now everyone that said that they didn’t need to do something offensively at the trade deadline are eating their words. The pitching still has the potential to be terrible, the hitting is not timely, and if they aren’t hitting the homerun, they don’t know how to score runs.

Last 3 games the Phillies have scored 5 runs, and 3 of those runs were scored in a loss. In those 3 games they have hit 1 homerun.

If you were a regular in the Phil’s lineup you would have to be frustrated as to what has been going on for quite awhile. Your lead-off hitter generally cannot get on, your clean-up hitter strikes out most of the time or either grounds into the infield shift and the bottom of the batting order cannot hit their way out of a paper bag. Like the old saying goes, you can’t win if you don’t score runs.

You guys should stop screaming at Kendrick. So he had his monthly bad game. If anyone should be sent back down, it’s Walrond. Through their 6-8 August thus far, the Phils have scored 44 runs in 14 games. That’s 3.14 runs per game. You don’t win titles with such meager offense.

This is very hard to watch baseball right now. How this team can be so underperforming is a mystery. The apparent lack of desire is baffling. It appears – win or lose – they just don’t give two hoots. As long as the checks keep rolling in on the 15th and 30th they’re pleased. Sad.

sadly, I think Charlie’s job is safe. Things would have to get really ugly towards the end of the season before Charlie even goes on the hot seat. But as long as the Phillies are still in contention he’s not going anywhere.
