It doesn’t matter. Kotsay cleared waivers so he can be traded to anybody.

Tavares is on waivers… I like the idea of Kotsay but that’s a 4th outfielder worth giving up a couple of fringe prospects for.

He’d be a great pick up for the Phils because we need another bat because Jenkins has been nothing but a disapointment this year…I don’t see us beating out the Red Sox though because they have more prospects to offer than the Phils do.

A team can place any player on waivers. Once on waivers, the player can be claimed by a team in his league. If multiple teams put in a claim, the team with the worst record wins. If no team in his league claims him, teams in the other league can claim. Same rule applies.

Once claimed, the two teams negotiate a deal for the player. If a deal is deined, the player goes off waivers. If no action is made, the player can go to the other team for a fee.

Kotsay is huge upgrade over Taguchi and has played on many playoff teams. Millar is limited to 1B defensively, so I would go with Kotsay and designate Taguchi. Does anyone know what the Braves would want for him?

If there is one thing better than winning baseball games, its having beautiful women around. Getting Kotsay would absolutly help both of those causes.

A midlevel prospect for any halfway decent piece to the puzzle is worth it at this point.

We should send Tracy back to AAA and DFA Taguchi and go get both Millar and Kotsay! I doubt that would happen though.

millar was key to the red sox winning their first WS in terms of being a solid role player and a leadership force. i feel hed help their focus while lightening the mood a bit, and teach them to be both jovial and serious at the same time.

Why not take a look at getting Millar, he has been around winning teams and can help with the attitude give Howard a day off or 2 down the stretch and be a nice RH bat late in the game to bring off the bench

Kevin Millar – Millar has been OK this year; he may reach 20 home runs. He is owed about $710K from here on out.

I say sign Kotsay and have his wife tend bar at McFaddan’s patio!!
