UPDATE (12:30 p.m.): The CW in Philadelphia will broadcast tomorrow’s game at 2 p.m.
***
Today’s Phillies-Mets game at Shea Stadium has been canceled, due to rain that will strike the East Coast from Tropical Storm Hanna.
A doubleheader is scheduled for tomorrow, with game one at 2:15 p.m. Game two is still ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball game of the week, at 8:05 p.m.

YES! doubleheader tomorrow. i already hate the nfl, and this will give me an excuse to watch baseball all day.

I would assume someone would jump at the chance to show this game, cw or csn. Neither have nfl responsibilities and fox only has rights on saturday.

A Phillies/Mets day night doubleheader got blacked out last year, if you remember. The night game got blacked out.
Has something to do with who purchased the contracts for the game. So since Fox bought the contracts, correct me if I’m wrong, they are the only ones who have the right to broadcast that game in television.

From CWPhilly.com
“The Phillies-Mets game originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6th, has been postponed due to weather and rescheduled for Sunday (Sept. 7th). The CW Philly will broadcast the game on Sunday at 2:00 PM. ”
I guess that answers my question. I’ll have 2 TVs going tomorrow now during the Eagles game.

and this was supposed to be the big “philly fans take over shea” game. now everyone will be sitting up there, waiting for eagles updates to be sent to their phones, if they can make it at all.

Double header! Does that mean we’ll likely see Happ on the mound in relief at some point?

Hopefully we don’t see Happ in relief.

Yeah, cheesesteak, we can be a sarcastic bunch, but that comment came out of left field (no pun intended).

If only The Mets could have hit Myers as hard as he hits his wife.
