Moyer has no chance at Cy Young contention, forget the K’s arguement against which are a fan friendly writers wet dream his ERA’s and hits surrendered are too high and his innings pitched are too low.

Really hate the Hamels/Santana comparison. Santana is debatably the best pitcher in the game and would be the Cy Young winner had the bullpen not blown so many gmes and Hamels is a young ace in the second tier of top pitchers and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. Guys who aren’t aces don’t eclipse 200 innings with an incredible WHIP, ERA and good K numbers but everyone thinks their best pitcher is the best in the league and rips them when their not ‘clutch’.

Have to respect what Santana’s doing tonight.

That is the kind of shit that shows how Santana is an ace and Hamels isn’t. In a game this huge Santana got the big out with bases loaded. Hamels always chokes in those situations. Hamels will get to that point, he’s just too young at this point. In 2 more years he’ll be the most dominating pitcher in the NL behind Lincecum.

He is still with the Canes and injured but I’ll echo what Phil said, the games changed to much and seems so disposable and too fan friendly now.
