phillies in blanton starts are 6-4 whether you like him or not. he’s been a positive addition to the team and i think he’ll come up with one of his best performances of the season today.

I hate Blanton. A lot of people said that he got little run support. I still am trying to figure out how that makes sense. He wasn’t losing one run games. He was giving up ton’s of hits lots of runs. Unless he was on the 27 yankees who scored over ten runs a game. maybe with that team he could have been ten and ten instead of five and twelve. Who was the scout who saw him and gave that report.

I would have the bullpen up in the first so we don’t give up more than five get him out fast so we have a chance.

Dave Bush is beatable, but unfortunately we have Blanton on the mound. The bullpen should be primed and ready to go by the 3rd or 4th. Hopefully we can get 5-6 out of Blanton and hope for less than a 3 run deficit.

Mark you are a IDIOT if you score seven runs it’s a good offense game.What difference does it make if it’s in seven innings or three it’s seven runs.Average runs per game.do they list the innings you score in. Can’t understand how you can post thinking you know anything about this game.

Good game guys. But this offense; Outside of 3 in the first, 2 in the 2nd and Rollin’s 2 run shot in the sixth, the offense was flatter than Israel Lafah in the other 5 innings. No offense at all in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th. 3 Phils reached in those 5 innings — all on walks. Where is the Burrell of May?

thanks for the compliment but I didn’t have to do too much more than to read this blog. everyone was saying how flat and dead the phillies are…. a .500 team (which, by definition, means that if they won 2, they’re due to lose 2). do you mean that after they won 2 games, everyone’s suddenly saying they’re gonna win the next 2? that would make you all a bunch of frontrunners!

J-Man, although I do think it is overrated, the majority of the Brewers’ lineup are righties with the exception of Prince Fielder, so the righty on righty matchups should favor us to an extent.

Just got to jump on the Brewers’ starters and get to their bullpen early.

my money is on the Brewers taking both games of the doubleheader and putting everyone back at status quo. all of the ass dragging phillies played over their heads in the first 2 games.

I think Burrell must go. We are lucky those 2 runs he let score tonight didn’t come back to bite us in the ass.

I know the free agent market doesn’t look promising, but that’s where you make a trade. There are a few guys that might be available in the winter that won’t cost the farm: Juan Pierre, Gary Matthews Jr, Juan Rivera, Jay Payton, Emil Brown, David DeJesus, and Chris Duncan just to name some. Out of all the guys listed I like Juan Pierre the most, but none of the guys is a long-term fix, but they would come cheap and would be able to hold down the fort until someone is ready to come up in the minors. We just need someone we can trust to not go months on end without touching the ball, even if we take a hit in power and rbis. Also, a defensive upgrade with some speed would be nice.
