Yeh, hard to understand why the Phillies did so poorly against the Nationals in that last series in Washington D.C.. Perhaps the Phils do not take the Nats seriously enough as the Nats give them a hard time in general but Washington is an improving ball club as their recent play indicates and the month of September brings out the spoiler role in some teams. They had some players returning from injuries and Ryan Zimmerman stated that he finally felt like he was back 100 percent from an earlier injury.

If everything is on the line during the last series of the year against Washington, the Phillies are going to have to find a way to beat these guys and that means you do not throw Kyle Kendrick against Tim Redding. You throw your best pitcher up against Redding.

There is still way too much season left to debate if you’d take the wild card or division. Especially since we are talking in respects to the Phillies making the playoffs. They are still in 2nd place in both division and wild card standings.

So, I think it absurd to debate topics which do not even apply to them at this current time.

And also, it feels good to take 3 or 4 hopefully from the brewers. But, I’m still not confident in a team who gets shalacked by the nationals.

Yes, the Mets lost, but don’t get ahead of ourselves just yet. We still have the nightcap and even if we win that, we’d still be 1 behind in the division. Concentrate on only what we can control right now, which is the Wild Card and the Brewers, who we can tie with a win tonight.

jeff, this is baseball teams go up and down. Did you forget about the Phils losing 2 of 3 from the WORST TEAM IN BASEBALL last week? And now we could sweep the wild card leader in the Brewers. The Mets will not roll over for us just yet I don’t think.

Great Day! Phils win game 1, the Mets are getting their ears pinned back and Myers goes in game 2. Get out the brooms. Hopefully, by morning 1/2 game back of mets and tied with Brewers! WOW! Let’s go Phils.

Up in the air? Are we watching the same games amazins? The Mets can’t beat even the crummiest of teams, and they haven’t exactly proven a whole lot of stability. Sorry, no division for New York. Even if they get the Wild Card (they won’t) its still a kick in the groin.
