Loss today bad psychologically as well as how it affected the Phillies in the standings.

Rollins, Utley and Victorino all left two runners on base today. Utley cannot hit in the clutch right now, Victorino is slumping as of late and Burrell does not have a clue about anything up at the plate. A dependable veteran hitter, similar to what Rowand was last year, is needed to hit fifth or sixth in the batting order. The two players that were brought in during last off-season have not gotten the job done.

Myers did not pitch badly today but made two key mistakes to Luis Gonzales and Nolasco the pitcher, who was hitting .142. A veteran pitcher like Myers has to get the opposing pitcher out in a key game like today. No excuse there. It is kind of unjust that Myers picked up the loss today when Durbin gave up the Marlin hits that produced the lead runs and then of course it continued on when Romero came in to pitch.

phillies suck. the only thing they learned from 2007 was how to play with no heart in september. i guess some team has to play dead at the end of the season. last year it was the mets. this year its the phillies. the mets figured out that their manager sucked and heaved ho his ass. phillies need to do the same thing or the only thing 2009 will bring us is more grief when we don’t matter and all anyone talks about is the mets and braves… again.

KM stated that the Phillies have to go 13-3 while the Mets or Brewers go 9-7. In my mind, the Mets are playing far too well for us to catch, and we have no head-to-head games to do anything about it.

However, if we sweep the Brewers, our 13-3 (subtracting 4 wins) turns out to mean we have to go 9-3 in the remainder of the games. The Brewers’ 9-7 turns into 9-3 for the remainder of theirs. This season is not over, but a bad weekend series will end it.

Does anyone really believe that they won’t bring back charlie.or that they will go after a top starter. They will let pat walk and replace him with werth which scares me. and jenkins in right [god forbid] but I believe they just don’t care forty four sellouts and they go out and get joe blanton, The owners are just ballies enough to do nothing and tell us Blanton will be better and myers was good after his minor league stint, cole is a year older, ruiz just had a bad year. Jimmy will be back. And our minor league system is better. even though triple a and double a were horrible with only two postional prospect donald and marson.
