Thankfully they didn’t agree to play on Monday-we would’ve had to face Sabathia. Play the doubleheaders like everyone else and quit whining.

The only thing about this is that Hamels can get an extra-days rest (for now). No excuses, Cole…you better win that game.

The potentially bad consequence is that our bullpen is gonna take a hit on Sunday (if, for example, Blanton only goes 5 innings on the first game)

Greg, I agree totally it’s not like it hadn’t started raining until 6, it was raining all day and actually had stopped by game time. What I can’t stand even more is when they play post season games in conditions they would never play in otherwise. If we’re going to play our most important games in monsoons then why postpone regular season games at all.

Also, I know why……we all do tv $$$ but it doesn’t make it any more ridiculous

I just like it that I had 1060 on the whole way up waiting to see if they’d cancel and they announced it when I was at the BROAD STREET EXIT! I’m suing the Phils for gas and time wasted driving through Philly during rush hour!

Don’t know where people get tehir info, team website says no tv for sunday night. I thought they should have done a traditional double header but we all know management won’t bite the bullet and take 1 less gate than they have to. Monday made the most sense to all but the brewers are scared.

A day/night doubleheader on Sunday could have been avoided but Milwaukee choose to keep their day off for Monday. See team report:

Both teams are off Monday, so a doubleheader could’ve been avoided. However, the Brewers voted against playing on their off day.

“It was a hard decision. It was debated, debated and debated,” Milwaukee manager Ned Yost said. “We need a break.”

Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins agreed.

“We’d rather keep our off day,” he said.

Manuel and Dubee would’ve preferred waiting until Monday.

“I don’t like doubleheaders,” Manuel said. “It’s tough to win two games and it’s tough for our pitching.”

i was there tonight hoping to see the game it was pouring earlier like around 4 5 o’clock but around 6 30 it started to clear up then it stopped all together the game shouldn’t have been canceled
