Headline: Phils set for biggest game of season
The Major Players: Brett Myers, Ryan Howard, Pat Burrell, Chad Durbin, JC Romero, Jeff Suppan, Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun
The Venue: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pa.
The Number: 1.5 games behind (Mets) NL East; 1 game behind (Brewers) Wild Card
The Phillies’ bats came alive late, and the good guys took care of business against the Brewers in the afternoon. Now it’s the nightcap, the big one, the chance to make huge noise. With a win, the Phils will be tied atop the NL Wild Card race and a game behind the Mets in the NL East race. Brett Myers has the ball.
Hiccup: Before Myers gave up four earned runs to the Marlins Wednesday, he had only surrendered five runs in the previous month of games.
Like Mike: No Brewer hitter is very successful against Myers, except Mike Cameron, who has two homers in 10 at bats against the righty.
Big Bat?: Hopefully Pat Burrell can carry his hitting into game two. It’s very possible — he has two homers and seven ribbies in 20 at bats against Jeff Suppan.
Savior Down: In his last full inning of work, JC Romero has given up three runs, two hits and two walks. Needless to say, he needs a couple big performances down the stretch.
Phillies: Brett Myers (9-11) 4.22 ERA
Brewers: Jeff Suppan (10-8) 4.63 ERA
Gametime: 7:35 p.m. EST
Weather: 84, partly cloudy
Lineup: Rollins/Werth/Utley/Howard/Burrell/Victorino/Feliz/Coste/Myers

Your gamenight beer: Tonight the Phils can reach the summit of the Wild Card standings. With that, root for a clean sweep and drink Summit India Pale Ale. Good with some carbs — rice, pasta, something of that ilk. Really, at this point it’s all about the Ws. Let’s get one tonight, go into the final 12 with huge momentum, and take care of business.
Go Phillies!

Series like this just make you wonder how the Phils struggled so much of the year… Vic’s become a much better all-around hitter the past couple of months, credit to Charlie putting him in a position to use his bat more than his legs.

Myers continues to be lights out but what do you guys thinks going to happen with next season? He came on strong in the second half last year similarly to this year but it’s an awefully long off-season for someone with the kind of head Myers has on him to be away from the mound…

manny.. no problem, didn’t want you guys to think it was a spam site. I moved to NC from philly a few months ago… Used slingbox but it was a pain in the ass. They usually post every game on that site so im happy

Manny/Glenn, I downloaded the media player for the p2p site, but can’t get it to play the actual game. How’d you get it playing?

big words?
I know Manny, every time I think I’m getting into the swing of getting excited the offense seems to go cold or there’s a bullpen implosion, beautiful thing when their on their game though… Go Phils!

Georgie, I noticed Wheels and TMac being giddy also. They’re really close to “tee hee hee” giggling methinks.

NEPA, so you have TVAnts installed already, right? Open it. Now go to the link Glenn posted and just click on the “PS4/VP4 on Tvants, 200k (Phillies Feed)” link. That’s it…let me know if it doesn’t work

“I really believe that we haven’t played the way we’re capable of playing,” Pat Burrell said. “We’ve been pretty inconsistent all year, and to be in the situation we’re in we’re fortunate. I think there is better baseball still to be played.”

Is TVAnts the same thing as the VLC media player? That’s the only thing I installed.

some of the links require different applications. Most times i use TVants. After you have the correct application installed just click on the link in the forum.
Except for the stupid chinese banners, it seems to run pretty well.

NEPA you should try and download TVAnts. It’s quick and easy and straightforward.
If not, then try this out:
In VLC, go to “File” and open a network stream.
* In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in “http://localhost:16900/1.asf”
* Click on “OK”
If that doesn’t work, then you’ll need to download TVAnts

NEPA, I downloaded it from this website:

Scroll down and click the link next to “Myp2p Mirror 2″ under “Downloads”
Download time was less than a minute

NEPA, seriously, Wheels and TMac sound like they’re at a teenager’s slumber party. When Burrell hit his monster homerun, they spent 10 minutes talking about a guy in the upper deck who almost caught it. And then pulled out the red video pen and dissecting it as if it were a football play (X’s and O’s).
They have a case of the giggles tonight.

Nah, They should pull him. We may need him on another 3-days rest on Wednesday against the Braves. :) Happ, Eaton, or Kendrick? Ya gotta go with J.A for that one.

myers is throwing one of the best games of his career on 3 days rest, in a super high pressure situation, against a very good offense. insane.
