Hamels, Rollins Best Brewers

Cole Hamels pitched a strong 6.1 innings of two-run ball, and the Phils’ offense came through when necessary in a 7-3 win over the Brewers.
Hamels answered the call with a pretty good outing. He pitched like an ace, escaping some jams (the runs he surrendered came when Pat Burrell misplayed a fly ball) and cruising toward the end. In back of him, Chad Durbin, JC Romero and Brad Lidge closed it out.
The offense continued to come through. Jimmy Rollins went 3-for-5 with an insurance two-run home run in the sixth inning. He also scored three runs. One of those runs came off the bat of Ryan Howard, who knocked home two with a second-inning single.
The win brought the Phils to two games in back of the Brewers for the NL Wild Card lead. They’re also 2.5 games in back of the Mets for the NL East lead, as they split a doubleheader with the Braves.

Is there a video on the web of Hamels reaction to the Burrell misplay.
Totally priceless.

Yeah, Cole did sort of throw Pat under the bus with that reaction.

I was there yesterday. Great day for baseball, Great effort. Burrell looks lost out there. Meanwhile, Manny Parra is just horrible. He couldnt get anybody out. that was one of the worst performances ive ever seen in person.
