It doesnt matter. The phils need to just do their job and win games one at a time. No need to worry about the mets if they just beat whats in front of them.

Chicago radio is reporting cubs regular will rest. So matt I don’t know where you heard that. They are not risking injuries. They know all about the teams they might face and won’t risk a chance at the world series to win meaning less games. That is according to them.

I agree Richie. But just don’t forget about the pesky Nats either. They always give us a hard time, and even though they are FAR out the race there still going to give us a hard time…Even the Braves too! I don’t expect this last week to be cakes & pies. Were still going to have to fight our way in there.

Speaking about which teams would be toughest to play..We just played the Marlins.. who I would consider the toughest right now and won 2 of 3….I really have respect for that team..they never quit..and a win was never in the bag…
Im glad we dont have to play THEM again.

As far as Chicago playing against the Mets, Pinella said that he is going to play the regular lineup for all four games. Since the Mets are a good possibility for the Cubs to face in the first round, they’ll want to make a statement.
I do think that the brewers will get a relative pass, since the Cubs have been playing them all season and they know how they play, and would only face them again IF the brewes made it past the NL East leader (which I won’t jinx here).
Of course, don’t discount the Cubs backup team. St. Louis faced 7 non-starters yesterday and still lost.

winning that series was huge. even though i’ve thought the phillies would make the playoffs all season long, i expected them to go 1-2 against the marlins there, and then make up the lost ground in the remaining games. coming back to CBP to finish the season in the position they’re in is not too shabby at all. go phillies, prove that you’re the team to beat two seasons going!

yea but we went 4-3 against them, and it could/should have been 6-1 Phillies in the season series..

Dodgers offense is really starting to click. they are putting up like 7 runs a game in their wins this month
