I really like that the whole city and fans from other teams are rooting for our team… but obviously there are some people out there that just jump on the bandwagon because they have nothing else to do. But, in general, I welcome everyone’s support. Go Phillies!

There will always be the fringe fans who jump on at the success of the team. Don’t worry about that. We serious fans are there every night and every pitch, year after year. It just makes the highs that much more intense. It’s good to have all of the city on board. This is such a uniting event for Philly. All aboard the Phillies Express!

Too Funny Sal ! It is true all the guff me and my other cronies took as we stuck by the fact that “YES” this team is good enough to win a World Series as early as April. Stuck by them through thick and thin and now we are on the door step of a 50-50 shot at a World Championship. It’s OK though because we have to let them aboard and the good thing is we know we are riding Shot Gun with our Phillies.

And now that the Phillies are in the World Series, the city and surrounding areas are clearly red. Now it’s cool to be a Phillie fan again. Now the fairweathers come out, the bandwagoners, the students, etc. Heck, I saw this myself when living in Boston in 2004. Once the Sox took down the Yankees, everyone was a Red Sox fan.

It’s never been cool to be a Phillie fan. The team, the city, the fans, everything sux big time. They are a town full of losers!!!

Who’s going to be McNabb this time around and puke on the mound?

Just curious..does anybody know what the status of the contracts of Victorino,Werth,Ruiz,Madson,Eyre ?Are these guys going to send us over the edge when we give them the raises they deserve?
These are the additions to the so called “core players”,that helped us get this far..

redsoxfan….why do I really want to see sox highlights right now? Saw them this morning and that is enough. Good win…..I’ll give it to you….. but the Sox are done. And as I said earlier to you today you may have a long wait to be in this position again. Don’t expect the Yanks to not be active this winter. They will be a force for next season.

I can’t believe the braves will trade heyward for peavy. This kid is the best prospect in baseball he is 19 and a pure superstar. hits hits with power runs arm the whole package. Has been great at three levels.

Burrell will get about 12-14 from someboby for three years. there isn’t much out there who drive in 100 runs and hit 30 hr. the mets would give him that I believe especially if they make the beltan trade and get lee and young centerfielder. burrell would replace alou.

About Burrell…I really cant see someone in the american league offering
him 5 yrs $50 mill…..man, if somebody does..are they that crazy in that league?..I do love the idea of him as DH in the series..he is perfect for that position.
Victorino in center,Werth in right and …? in right
Sombody said Burrell turned down $20 mill for 2 years earlier in the year..He should have jumped on that one if he wanted to stay with the phils.I wouldnt mind having him for the 2 years,but thats it.

Why DH Howard now and have Stairs at 1st? Leave Howard at 1st and just use Stairs as DH. Why mess with it. Besides, Howard’s a pretty good fielder.

The Phillies site said something about Howard as a possible DH and Dobbs being on 1st base.

What do you think? I kinda like Dobbs as a pinch-hitter…but we’ll see. Time to make pretty big decisions…

Can a DH go into the field. I Thought if you are DH you couldn’t play the field not sure. don’t see much american league.

As much as I Hate to say this. if burrell is the DH then I would put jenkins or stairs in left and then go for the defense. And use bruntlett. Can’t believe I am saying to use jenkins but want the offense. Especially if howard still isn’t hitting.
