I’m in Western Mass and Phillies fans around here are a rare find. I’d love to join the party at a local bar, but will be watching in my own den with occasional support from my wife and teenage daughters. Being a Phils fan is a lonely job sometimes-though its much better now than in the late 70′s when I lived on the Connecticut coast and had to point my AM radio towards Whitey and Harry to listen through the static.

I want to echo the joy and sadness many of us expressed about this post. Great Job!

This just might turn into my favorite Phillies team. Not just when (can I say “when” and not wreck their chances?) they win the Series, but mostly because this is a group that consistently works together and seems to enjoy one another all the time. Nearly every player on the roster has contributed something meaningful during the playoffs and we never need to rely on only a couple of stars. This is why they will win it all.

Some how i think Fred Shero never thought those words would embody the sentiment of an entire City.

Me and some of the Philly loyal are going to Union Jacks in Bethesda, MD. We went last week for Game 1 and they had the game and audio on a whole bunch of TVs. The only thing I wish is to hear the final out by Harry Kalas tonight.

I cried as well reading all of these posts. Cole is going to pitch the best game of his life and Pat the Bat is so due.

I already talked to my boss about taking off for the parade and got approved. See everyone on Broad Street! Go Phillies!
