If you haven’t heard this yet, you should.

Jamie Moyer pitched game three under the weather. Like, really under the weather.

The story is Karen Moyer, his wife, fed him liquids and health foods, while Jamie puked and made a mess all over the couple’s bed and toilet. According to Karen, they went through two pillows and a couple sets of sheets. The comforter was being cleaned.

Karen then said that their toilet should be put in the Hall of Fame.

All this happened Friday night, one evening before Jamie threw a solid 6.1 innings to help defeat the Rays.

Just more legend to throw onto the fire that is the 2008 Phillies. Amazing. Mr. Moyer, I love you.

No, no Tim… he ruined TWO pillows, not two comforters. Their comforter is at the cleaners.

Some of that Moyer Magic. Everybody was scared about throwing him out there but deep down inside we knew he had it in him. He deserves this title more than anybody on the team. It feels real good 2 see guys like him, matt stairs, geoff jenkins getting a chance, even though their role players, to be a part of something special. Because it doesn’t happen that often and 2day could be the day

Jamie Moyer needs to be recognized for this. This may sound dumb, but that almost deserves a plaque in Ashburn Alley – don’t know how you can clean up ‘praying to the porcelain god’, but… If Amaro, Jr. does not re-sign Jamie, he is a fool. Jamie is a hero to us, and we should win for Jamie.
