I have the six-pack Brewmaster’s Collection from Sam Adams. It has the honey brown, the Irish red and this — Black Lager. It’s dark, but not strong to where you’d gag through the drink. I’d eat it with some slow-cooked ribs, something that takes a day to make. By now, if you haven’t cooked, you’re cooked, but hey, you can still enjoy this as the old man goes to work. Big game tonight. A win, and the Phils are a win away from the Series. Let’s do it.
Go Phillies!

Everyones pro LA right now Tim, they beat the ‘fan favourite’ Cubs and assume that mantle and suddenly everyone forgets the year they really had.

Nice inning right there. Happ seems to be doing well considering the pressure.

With this team, this game is not over, that was a great pickoff by Happ.

This is like listening to the ‘new’ MNF, don’t mind the facts stacked against us but the bias just sounds stail and forced.

Ahh, yes, News Corp. That might have something to do with it. Not a big fan of News Corp. right now, but for other reasons.

I won’t be able to watch the World Series if we aren’t in it. I can’t stand hearing the name Manny at this point.

I mean the thing is now that we should just try to get hits and get runs just to feel good about themselves, they look like shit right now. a 7-4 ball game would be fine in my book like the Brew Crew game were they were gaining momentum throughout the game and although they didn’t win they we feeling good offensively at the end of the game!

Not that it will happen, but if LA beats us and goes to the WS, I’d like to see Boston go just so they could bitch-slap Manny and the Dodgers. That would be awesome.
But, like I said, we’re the ones going.

If Dodgers hold on to this lead and we lose, there is one silver lining: Happ is pitching like he ain’t scared. Kid showed me something tonight.

Booing Victorino is this situation proves that people in L.A. know nothing about baseball.

Brian, down five or not, he’s pitching in October baseball when he has less than a dozen total major league appearances. Believe me, there’s pressure.

They’re booing Victorino like he shot a puppy. All he did was ask to be hit in the torso, not the head.

Had it been in Philly, Buck would’ve went on an anti-Philly fan tirade.

I don’t think Moyer should pitch again the rest of this series unless he’s out of the bullpen.

Jimmy Rollins, despite his superior class and excellent representation of our team, simply has not done anything productive this entire postseason. As a leadoff hitter, he needs to get on base…
And I second what Tim said regarding Lowe vs. Blanton. If Blanton has his stuff, it could be a good game. However, Lowe pitched a gem in the first game, and absolutely dominated our lineup with his use of the sinker. He got ground balls and really couldnt’ve pitched better. I don’t want to think it, but it’s hard to picture winning the next game.

@SJ Mike I was thinking that earlier in the game. The only booing I heard in the first two games was generic anti-Manny stuff and it wasn’t that loud. These Dodgers fans have been booing all over the place and the Fox crew hasn’t said a thing. Lame.

Is it me, or does Victorino just by chance seem to be in the middle of angry tirades from the opposing team when we’re in a blowout? That game against the Braves when Tavarez charged him at 3rd base and then tonight when Kuroda, Martin, and Manny had their hissy fit?

Mets fans I know think Victorino hotdogs it sometimes. I don’t agree but maybe he has a reputation.

Seriously!?!? Vic was just trying to be somewhat civil saying, “Look! If you’re going to hit someone, hit them in the ribs or the back where it hurts. Don’t throw at people’s head because no one deserves to get hurt or killed.”
That said, I agree that the only Philly who threw at anyone was Condrey. Myers pitch was completely an accident. You could even SEE the ball slip out of his hand in slow-mo.
