For the series I would start Dobbs at DH, or Howard at DH and Dobbs at 1B. We won’t need to use Dobbs as a pinch hitter, so it would be nice to get his bat in there 3-5 times a game.

I am in complete emotional disarray. I’m young, but I’ve always watched the Phillies. I’ve been with this team since April, through good and bad, as most of you can relate. This year feels different. The players attitude is perfect. This is an opportunity and they know it and at the very least, we should all be grateful that we can be a part of this. Seasons like this should be cherished and we should take everything we possibly can from such a moment. My congratulations to not only the 2008 Phillies, but to the consistent (often frustrated) support of Phillies phans and PhilliesNation.

Are some people on here crazy? Why would we DH Stairs? “Dobbs is more valuable off the bench.” He will not have any PH opportunities for the pitcher. He’s an unbelievable hitter. It’s a very easy decision to make.

Oh man…what a series…what a night.

Congrats to everyone! Great site – many thanks to Tim, Brian, Rob, and all of the others who make this a great place for all of us to come and rant, cheer, make fun of shitty announcers (see Sutton, Don), and most recently, chastize Joe Buck and the FOX crew. It’s been a great year for Phillies baseball, Phillies fans, and for all of us who’ve been with Phillies Nation!

We’re not done…let’s bring the rings home to the NL!

You mean Mike T?? That was his phrase. I just get mad when they play like ass because I know that THIS is what theyre capable of…

Thats what makes this all more impressive of a run. We EXPECTED THEM TO DO THIS, but for a while they looked like ass and like they were lost. Victorino is the prime example. Charlie got them straightened out and he has them playing good baseball right now.

Cole Hamels finally proved in THIS series that he really is a big game pitcher. Now…anything can happen. If it is the Rays, I would NOT take them for granted, but they certaintly do match up well against them, dont they?

Also…I SAID they would get to the world series and after that its all up for grabs…Cant wait….they really do have a shot this time…maybe it really is their time.
