Game 3 : National League Division Series
Phillies lead 2-0
Philadelphia Phillies at Milwaukee Brewers
Miller Park, Milwaukee
6:30 p.m. / 60, fair
Jamie Moyer (16-7, 3.71 ERA) vs. Dave Bush (9-10, 4.18 ERA)
The Phillies can move to the National League Championship Series with a win tonight against the Brewers. Stoked to a two-game lead, the Phils turn to veteran Jamie Moyer. The 45-year-old southpaw is the second 16-game winner over 45 in baseball history. In two starts against the Brewers, he totaled a 3.09 ERA.
Dave Bush, a Conestoga High graduate (it’s Conestoga vs. Souderton tonight), is an all-pitches right-hander who is either good, or not so good. The Phils make their fourth visit to Miller Park. They were 1-1 there earlier in the season.
News & Notes
Of Brewers big bats, Bill Hall is .625 career against Moyer, and Rickie Weeks is .429. … Greg Dobbs, not starting, is hitting .462 against Bush for his career. … Jayson Werth is back in the two-hole tonight, despite Shane Victorino lacing a grand slam from that position Thursday night. … The Phillies can be the first team to clinch an LCS berth.

It’s a cool October evening, and it’s time to shut the door on the Brewers. Sip a Harvest Moon from the guys who give you Blue Moon. A spicy and robust fall tale, this will be fun to sip in bunches tonight, because it may get you tipsy by … hopefully … celebration time. Enjoy this with a large helping of nachos. Delicious stuff.
Go Phillies!

Werth batting at second?
I guess Charlie think’s he got his groove back during Thursdays game.

Just tried Harvest Moon for the first time last week. Wasn’t a huge fan but I’ve never been a big fan of pumpkin ales. Tonight, I’ll be drinking Sea Dog’s Apricot Ale. Can’t wait to watch the Ageless Wonder tonight.

O.K, Lets get this Party started. got back from Philly last night. I’m down in Norfolk. Found out my Local bar down here (A.J. Gators Downtown) has Yuengling on special this month $2.25/bottle. It seems like an omen.
LETS GO PHILLIES…LETS GO PHILLIES…LETS GO PHILLIES

I’m like Charlie: I think Dobb is most dangerous coming off the bench. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him used early in the game, even to pinch hit for Feliz in the right situation. Plus, all things being equal, you’ve got to like Feliz’s glove over Dobbs’, especially when Moyer’s on the mound.

Yes, NJ. And that scares me, because I’m set up for a huge let down.

I feel confident the series wont head back to Philly and CC will be getting a ‘little’ more that 3 days rest before his next start

I will not feel supremely confident about any game from here on out, there’s nothing that can change that, it’s just the way it is for me.

Nice swing Werth. You couldn’t hit that one with a boat oar.

Ugly start for the Phils…and I know this is just the 1st inning but I’m starting to feel the pressure

At least Utley made contact. However, judging by the swings so far in the 1st, I have a feeling we’re going to have a Dave “Cy Young” Bush sighting tonight. Could be wrong (hopefully), as it’s only the 1st.

that first inning was not the way we should’ve started this off. hopefully Moyer can work his magic!

No pressure yet, but Moyer has to have a quick inning so the crowd doesn’t stay on us

I have a feeling this umpire is going to squeeze Moyer a bit.

this umpire is really squeezing Moyer.
Bush blows, and Jayson Werth made him look like a superstar. His fastball is below average, but he has a decent curveball – don’t make him look like Roy Oswalt.
