How can people be so stupid and blind? In this little town it's almost like living back in the 50's, we have a "gentleman's" club whose motto is "no women, no blacks, no hispanics, no Asians, no gays(I really cleaned up the language there). God, it makes me sick!NJ, indeed the American middle class will be taking it on all fours if McCain/Palin steal this election!

See, that’s the thing I don’t understand here, I have friends who are struggling to pay bills, but refuse to vote for a N*, I sometimes literally feel like I am banging my head against the wall. I live in the heart of conservative religious right-wing Lancaster County, and as a life long Democrat, have endured endless berating, nasty looks, but never as bad as this year. I have been called a Marxist by a stranger in a greenhouse, my uncle calls me a socialist, my husband had his tire punctured by some redneck kids who saw his Obama sticker, it's unbelievable.Sarah Palin is the biggest joke either party, ANY party for that matter, has ever put out there. The thought of her being president is seriously terrifying. As a woman I always wondered who would be the first female president/vp, but never in a million years would I have believed it could be someone as unqualified and dangerous as Palin. If I had tickets to the Flyers game Saturday I would certainly be decked out in full Obama/Biden gear!

Don, it’s refreshing to hear a registered Republican thinking with an open mind. He is a good outfilder with great speed, But really struggles against righthanded pitching. Putting him behind howard would be risky to me. He just doesn't hit well enough against right handed pitching to protect howard. and with ruiz and felix and the pitcher it could hurt this team especially if the other outfield position is my guess Golson and Jenkins.

Jason werth scares me. I'm intrigued by Ibanez and if the smaller market teams stay true to the youth movement Dunn might not get an extonsionate number, seems a little thin on the stop-gap trade market although wouldn't rule out Tavarez. Wonder whether moving Howard to left and signing a 1st basement has been thrown around although Howard will never re-sign in Philly as a LFer.

The problem is going to be bridgint he gap in left, I love what Golson could be but we can’t commit to him like was done with Costanzo and not be in control.

I’d be sad to see Burrell walk, he’s the guy on my jersey but there’s better bang for the buck out there. Im leaning towards wanting a more athletic outfield. That makes such a huge difference. You see how many more runs Shane Victorino takes away in Centerfield than Aaron Rowand did? And Rowand was a very good CF.

i dunno if i want to pay burrell to play two thirds of every game he plays. I think Burrell walks, unless he has a HUGE postseason... he's not worth $14 M for a .250 avg.. 33 HR.. 86 RBIsIn a full-season, Werth can give you those numbers and you could get him long-term for like $6 -8 I bet... I think they control Werth next year, and then they might have to sign him.

Any idea who the Free Agents are NEXT year… I think Burrell walks, unless he has a HUGE postseason… he’s not worth $14 M for a .250 avg.. 33 HR.. 86 RBIs

In a full-season, Werth can give you those numbers and you could get him long-term for like $6 -8 I bet… I think they control Werth next year, and then they might have to sign him.

By: Geoff

<guid

Fulfilling the two six packs I bought. Special Day that was...walked into the stadium felt the aura, knew theyd win that game from the get go. I signed up for that postseason ticket option where they let you know if you are allowed to buy a seat, lol. Well see what happens with that. Maybe Ill get lucky and be allowed to by A seat in teh 400 section for like 800 bucks, lol. Because they ARE going to get past the Dodgers somehow.Im going to the Flyers home opener saturday as well.

Yeah I went to Clinching Day with Jamie Moyer on the Hill.
