What I’d really like to see from Amaron Jn is to get aggressive with the AAA team and surround the prospects with veterans with the ability to get back up to the majors whether it’s with us or someone else.

As a Mets fan,I don’t want Manny on the Phils as well as my Amazins.Sure Manny is one of the games greats for a long time to come…but remember anyone so gullible enough to sign a man for 25 mil per and a 10 cent brain gets exactly what they deserve.However,if the Phils do so choose to give up on “Pat the Bat”,I’ll be glad to have him patrolling left in CitiField.

Wow! Never really thought about that but can you imaging Ryan Howard and Manny Ramirez on the same team? Look out EVERYONE!

Not sure though if we can afford Manny, his agent would have to settle for less money as I cannot imagine anyone paying 25 big per season for him.

I’d like it if he came to Philly tho!

Burrell has a big impact on their Howard plans too…. If and when Howard becomes a free agent, he’ll command $20 M per season… If they play good baseball tongith, I don’t care what they do with either of those guys.. But I want Hamels locked up for the next 5 years at least

The core of the team will be intact for years. Maybe a long term deal for Howard but all he really has to do is what gillick has done. Find the small guys that work in around the stars. The werths the dobbs the romeros. We have a special team and the oppurtunity to be around for a long time

It’s going to be tough for him to follow but he’s as good a choice as any and it’ll be a seamless tranistion.

The guy has some really tough decisions ahead that’s going to account for a quater of the payroll before he can even sniff around in FA.

Hopefully Amaro saw how this team was put together and knows how to do keep it this way. Small moves and chemistry seemed to be the Gillick Mantra. I hope this guy learned something while being Gillick’s betch lol
