Not that I want to jump the gun, but I was given a recommendation by our own Julie Michael, and it’s fitting. Let’s go with Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Yes, celebrate. Celebrate because tonight may very well be the greatest night in Phillies franchise history. Here we are, everyone, at the climax of an incredible season. Time to do it. Time to win. Just win.

Go Phillies!

a nice quick first inning for Hamels

I read that first pitch would be Robin Roberts.

Thanks, BrewTown. I really think Pat is under-appreciated, and I hate to think this will be his last game with us.

On a happy note, great top of the first. Just about as sure as apple pie and Swiss trains…ladies and gentlemen, I bring you Cole Hamels…

Oh, just catch without a mask. Rollins will hit it to the outfield anyways, you won’t need it.

Jeez Miner, it took until Game 5 for them to lose credibility? You are more patient than I am…

Geez…I meant a “hit” not a fly out.

    nice walk Werth

Kazmir has gone 3-2 to the first two hitters. Bet he doesn’t want to do that much more. High pitch count and things will get dangerous on some of these 3-1 counts.

Seems to me like Jason has drawn a lot of walks this post season. Am I remembering it right?

Nice job holding Pat. Hit way too hard for him (or anyone) to score.

    Great start. Come on Cole.

Not a bad first inning. Too bad to leave those guys on, but hey, 2 for 3 RISP. And a two run lead after one is magnified with King Cole on the mound.

That was a great first inning, may have left the bases loaded but Kazmir’s as much on the back foot as your gonna get.

Scott “The Stud Go-To Guy” Kazmir: 29 Pitches
    Hamels: 7 Pitches

Advantage Phils. Are they going to have David “The Messiah” Price pitch the other 8? Christ, the guy may be a good prospect, but let him spend some time in the big leagues before starting his Hall of Fame bust.
