He has tons of arb players to deal with as well as trying to keep burrell eyre and moyer. I think eyre signs easily, burrell elaves for the AL to be a DH (rays, mariners, blue jays, etc), and moyer at least tries one more year. All said, Ill wait and see what he does. Gillick earned a PERMANENT free pass because of this championship, and hes staying on as a paid consultant. They finally got rid of arbuckle, which has been long awaited.Other than extensions the main holes to fill are a right-handed hitting outfielder to replace burrell and a starting pitcher. they clearly wont go after sabathia or lowe or burnett, but id xpect them to go after a 3rd 4th or 5th type starter. they also need to sign another late inning reliever to tighten things up back there even more, i see them upgrading over rudy seanez there. i like happ but i still sense that theyre going to try and move him as part of a deal for the right-handed outfielder.hopefully amaro has listened to gillick and taken some things away from his apprenticeship. hes going to be very busy.

Amaro has a LOT to do. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

I am a bit upset over hearing Arbuckle leaving but you have to move forward.
