headley is one of my all time favorite phils. he’s a true nutcase. a full fledged psychopath. there are so many hilarious stories about him in the 93 phillies book. the whole team was completely scared of him

Probably was roided, but who wasn’t? I always liked him – roids or not, he had a onfield presence that, to me, indicated a strong work ethic and serious approach to the game. He wasn’t as phsyically gifted as Scott Rolen, but had Rolen had his demeanor…

I always thought Hollins was a poster boy for steroids and “roid rage.” Him and Dykstra.

Hollins was one of my favorite players from the 1993 team. I remember thinking he should be in the top 100, but he doesn’t have many at bats as a Phillie. If he makes this team then most of the ’93 team should be up for consideration.

Hollins was a fan favorite in 92 & 93, too bad he was a terrible fielder. Lots of grit!

In the book “More Then Beards, Bellies & Biceps,” there is a great story John Kruk tells about taking “Hedley” to a charity event in Las Vegas. Hollin spots Greg Maddux and storms over to tell him, if he ever hits Hollins or one of his teammates again, he will kill him.

Later Maddux asked Kruk if Hollins was serious, Kruk said he was…Maddux never hit Hollins again.
