The Twins have signed Nick Punto to a two-year deal, with an option for 2011. Punto was sought by the Phillies, and he said if he couldn’t re-sign with the Twins, he’d like to play in Philadelphia.

Punto would have been nice to have as a utility guy, but not at the $4.25MM a year the Twins gave him.
