I remember cutting Joe Blanton a lot of slack because it was his first start. When we won, I actually got thrown out for some vulgar language I chose to express. I still don't care, it was one of the defining games of our championship season, and a game I will probably remember my entire life. This was one of those games that really show us that it's not over until it's over. Hell, as good or almost as good as the extra innings battle with the Mets later in the season. I had it on the HDtv in the living room, but I think I was also upstairs painting or something.... it was on in the bedroom, the little 19" TV, and because I'm superstitious, I didn't leave the bedroom to go watch in HD.. I knew that if I stayed where I was, that good things would happen.. (I swear to God, I'm really a freak like that)... so I stayed put, and watched one of the greatest moments in my Phillies-fandom, a GREAT comeback win in SHEA.. life is good. I still remember watching this game.. Then I continue to be depressed until the next game. On on the note of the Phillies, I respect their Championship as much as anyone ,but I am really excited for a chance to take it from them.
