My best friend scored some tickets to the HOF club at CBP, and by the 2nd inning started asking the question "Do we stay or do we go? We hung back, and told him that hopefully we can start chipping at the lead. The key thing that he said to me, "Anything is possible with this team." I told him OK, let's stay until the 7th inning. Glad we did. On the way home, he was headed back down to Cape May, and I was heading back to Frederick, MD (yes, I got in at 3:30AM and was at work at 11 AM with much appreciation extended to my new boss), I called him on the cell and told him this was THE signature game for the regular season. Everyone is welcome to discuss, but it boiled down to one thing that stayed true with this team - It takes a TEAM to win. It wasn't the greatest as far as stats go, but in my opinion this was the benchmark game as it defined the rest of the season.

I was at this game as well. So exciting.Somebody told me some other Philly team has a big game today, but i'm still reeling in the glory that was the 2008 baseball season.

i was at that game, and remember when it was 7-0 my wife and i were contemplating leaving, but we hung in there, and boy did it pay off, by the end it felt like a play off game.
